​Every contribution helps Special Surfers to meet their mission of giving special needs children the opportunity to expand their world and abilities by learning to surf.

Registration fills up for every event. We do our best to accommodate the wait list each time. The limiting factor is the number of boards and wetsuits that are available. Although local surf shops have been wonderful partners they don’t know until the day of each event how many boards they have available to loan. By having dedicated Special Surfer equipment we can not only offer more registration slots but we can ensure that we have the equipment that is best suited to the success and safety of our Special Surfers.

Are you part of a corporation or foundation or perhaps an individual looking to make a more substantial contribution?  Special Surfers often has a "wish list item" such as when we raised money for our enclosed aluminum trailer with custom racks.  This trailer enabled us to store and transport the equipment for Special Surfers events in one place leading to more efficient setup and cleanup.  This led to our ultimate goal - more volunteer time spent directly with the kids.  As an added benefit, donors found a great place to display their business logo at each event to be seen by hundreds of volunteers and community spectators!
